13. Ultraschall-Weltkongress (WFUMB 2011)

Wien ist Austragungsort des von der World Federation for Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology (WFUMB) veranstalteten 13. Ultraschall-Weltkongresses (WFUMB 2011).

Zum ersten Mal wird der Weltkongress gemeinsam mit der EUROSON, dem jährlichen Kongress der European Federation of Sociaties for Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology (EFSUMB) und Ultraschall 2011, dem jährlichen Dreiländertreffen der deutschsprachigen Ultraschallgesellschaften DEGUM, ÖGUM und SGUM ausgetragen. It is our great pleasure to announce that the World Congress of Ultrasound, WFUMB 2011, will be held in Vienna, Austria from August 26 to 29, 2011.

The WFUMB 2011 congress is a unique meeting since, for the first time in ultrasound history, it incorporates the Annual Meeting of EFSUMB, EUROSON 2011 as well as the traditional “Dreiländertreffen”, the joint meeting of the Austrian, German and Swiss societies of ultrasound in medicine. Our guiding theme and motivation is “Connecting the world of ultrasound”. Thus, ultrasound experts from all corners of the world will focus their efforts in preparing a state-of-the-art programme for WFUMB 2011.

The world congress begins on Friday, August 26, 2011 with full day categorical courses to various topics and continues on the following days with Refresher Courses, Scientific Sessions and State-of-the-art Lectures.

The WFUMB Programme Committee invites submissions of abstracts of scientific presentations for WFUMB 2011. Selected abstracts will be accepted for oral presentations (6 minutes speaking time, 2 minutes discussion) and for electronic poster presentation. Please mark your calendar with the abstract submission deadline, which is January 24, 2011.
